ABOUT US.
At Good Dog, we think a visit to the groomers should be a positive experience for your pup.
That’s why we offer solo appointments for grooms that are tailored to your hairy best pal’s needs.
Throughout their visit your dog will be looked after by a fully qualified, experienced groomer.
Our quiet, private premises are fully equipped to provide a safe and professional service. Our large garden grooming studio is calm and spacious.. Doggie ‘Luxury’ the Good Dog way!
OUR SERVICES.
We deliver grooms that suit with your dogs lifestyle and whilst we guarantee they’ll always look smashing for you when you collect them, our approach is function over fashion.
We deliver both breed standard and pet grooms, using clippers and/or scissors or for those dogs who’s coat doesn’t need cutting, we can help with a de-shed, hand-stripping or just a nice bath and tidy.
All our appointments include a coat shampoo and dry *except hand stripping appts where its best practice that the coat is not washed immediately afterwards. We’ll also clip their claws and clean their ears if required.
We won’t brush out matting, but can help with a “reset” groom. Hair grows back so don’t worry! Clipping a matted coat takes time and care to reduce discomfort and stress to your dog so please expect these appointments to be longer than average.
There will be plenty of breaks for your dog during their appointment, with access to fresh drinking water, lots of attention plus a nice big secure garden to have a sniff about in too! We never muzzle dogs, they won’t be crated and they will receive 121 attention from drop off to collection.
PRICE.
Let’s keep it nice and simple.
We charge £30 per hour. *This is the price per dog.
Size, age, behaviour, coat type, coat condition, and the timings between appointments can all affect how long it takes to groom your dog.
Regular appointments and coat care between grooms can all help to reduce the time your dog spends at the groomers!

Average appointments times range from 1hr for a small dog having a bath & tidy to around 3hrs for a large dog coming in for a full groom.
HOW TO FIND US.
Use ‘Thatch Cottage, Hangersley Hill, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 3JR’ in google maps for directions.
When you arrive, please park in the lane at the side the cottage and wait at the large gate into the garden where you’ll be welcomed by your groomer! (Our dachshund doorbell will alert us of your arrival!)
The Good Dog Grooming Salon sits at the bottom of the garden, with views across open fields that are a home to forest ponies, visiting deer herds, and a pair of buzzards.
